1Rinse the raw rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the raw rice in 300ml of water for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
2In a small bowl, combine the active dry yeast with 5g of the sugar and 50ml of lukewarm water. Stir gently and let it sit for 10-15 minutes until the yeast mixture becomes frothy, indicating it is active.
3Drain the soaked raw rice completely. In a wet grinder or high-speed blender, combine the drained raw rice, cooked rice, fresh grated coconut, the remaining sugar, and the activated yeast mixture.
