2In a small, deep metal ladle or a non-stick pan, combine the white granulated sugar and water over medium-low heat.
3Stir continuously until the white granulated sugar fully dissolves. Stop stirring and allow the mixture to caramelize to a light golden-amber color. Be careful not to burn it.
