1In a medium saucepan, sprinkle kanten powder over 300g of water and let it hydrate for 5-10 minutes.
2Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the kanten powder and water mixture to a boil, stirring constantly until the kanten powder is completely dissolved. This should take about 2-3 minutes after boiling begins.
3Reduce heat to low and add 150g of granulated sugar, stirring until it is fully dissolved.
