Wash, peel, and chop the raw mango into small, uniform pieces.

In a heavy-bottomed pan, combine the chopped raw mango with water, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Cook over medium heat until the mango pieces are tender but still hold their shape, about 8-10 minutes.
