1Gather all ingredients: puffed rice, white sugar, water, sesame oil, and toasted sesame seeds.
2In a large, dry pan or wok, gently warm the puffed rice over low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, to restore its crispness. Remove the puffed rice from the pan and set aside.
3In the same pan, combine the white sugar and water. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the white sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture forms a clear syrup. Do not let it caramelize too much.
