Rinse dried soybeans thoroughly under cold running water.

Place the rinsed dried soybeans in a large bowl and add 800g of water. Soak for at least 8-12 hours, or overnight, until the soybeans have doubled in size and are soft.

Drain the soaked soybeans and discard the soaking water. Rinse the soybeans again.
