1In a large bowl, combine the Masa harina and Salt. Gradually add the Water, mixing until a soft, pliable dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 15 minutes.
2Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll each into a smooth ball.
3Using a tortilla press or your hands, press each dough ball into a thick, round tortilla, about 0.5 cm thick and 10-12 cm in diameter.
