1Measure 300 grams of Japanese short-grain rice into a large bowl.
2Rinse the Japanese short-grain rice under cold running water, gently swirling with your hand. Drain the cloudy water and repeat this process 3-5 times until the water runs mostly clear.
3Place the rinsed Japanese short-grain rice in a cooking pot or rice cooker bowl. Add 380 grams of water.
