1If using hard garaetteok, soak them in warm water for 10-15 minutes to soften. Drain well.
2In a large pan or pot, sauté the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the crispy bacon and set aside, leaving about 15 grams of rendered fat in the pan.
3Add the sliced onion to the pan with the bacon fat and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
