1Split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Place both the vanilla bean pod and seeds into a medium saucepan with the Whole milk and Fresh cream.
2Heat the Whole milk and Fresh cream mixture over medium heat until it just begins to simmer, then remove from heat. Let it steep for 15 minutes to infuse the vanilla flavor.
3In a separate bowl, whisk the Egg yolks and Granulated sugar together until pale and creamy.
