Wash the toor dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
Drain the soaked toor dal and combine it in a pressure cooker with the diced raw mango, slit green chili, turmeric powder, and 600 grams of water.
Pressure cook for 4-5 whistles or until the dal is very soft and mushy.
