1Rinse 100g short-grain rice thoroughly until the water runs clear. Place the rinsed short-grain rice in a bowl and add enough water to cover it by about 5cm. Let it soak for at least 2 hours.
2Rinse 50g perilla seeds to remove any impurities. Place the rinsed perilla seeds in a separate bowl and add enough water to cover them. Let them soak for at least 1 hour.
3Drain the soaked perilla seeds. Transfer the perilla seeds to a blender with 200g of water. Blend until very smooth, creating a milky perilla paste.
