1Peel and finely slice the Garlic cloves.
2Pour the Extra-virgin olive oil into a large saucepan or pot over medium heat. Add the sliced Garlic and gently sauté until fragrant and lightly golden, being careful not to burn it.
3Carefully crush the Whole peeled San Marzano tomatoes by hand or with a fork directly into the saucepan with the Garlic and Extra-virgin olive oil. Add the Granulated sugar, Fine sea salt, and Black pepper.
