1Rinse 250g red beans thoroughly and soak them in cold water overnight, or for at least 6 hours.
2Drain the soaked red beans and place them in a large pot. Add enough fresh Water to cover the red beans by about 5cm.
3Bring the red beans to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Drain the red beans and discard this initial boiling Water, as it helps remove bitterness.
