1Score one side of the Konnyaku block in a crosshatch pattern, about 3mm deep.
2Cut the scored Konnyaku into bite-sized rectangles, approximately 5cm x 2.5cm.
3Boil water in a pot. Add the cut Konnyaku and boil for 3-5 minutes to remove its characteristic odor. Drain the Konnyaku and set aside.
