1Rinse the Beef marrow bones and Beef shank bones thoroughly under cold running water. Soak the bones in cold Water for at least 2 hours, changing the water every 30 minutes, to remove impurities and blood.
2Drain the bones and place them in a large pot. Add enough fresh Water to cover the bones completely. Bring to a rolling boil over high heat for 10-15 minutes. Skim off any foam and discard the water.
3Rinse the blanched Beef marrow bones and Beef shank bones again under cold water to remove any remaining impurities. Clean the pot.
