1Drain the Firm tofu and press it gently for at least 20 minutes to remove excess water. Slice the Firm tofu into rectangular pieces, approximately 1.5 cm thick.
2Heat the Cooking oil in a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Carefully place the Firm tofu slices in a single layer and pan-fry for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and slightly crispy. Remove the Firm tofu from the pan and set aside.
3In a small bowl, combine the Soy sauce, Gochugaru, Minced garlic, Granulated sugar, Water, and Sesame oil. Mix well to create the braising sauce.
