11. To prepare the broth, add the Water, Dried anchovies, and Dried kelp to a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove and discard the Dried anchovies and Dried kelp, straining the broth to ensure it is clear.
22. Add the peeled and cut Potatoes and the thinly sliced Yellow onion to the strained broth. Bring the broth to a boil over medium-high heat.
33. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium. Add the Doenjang, Gochugaru, and minced Garlic to the pot. Stir well to dissolve the Doenjang.
