1Dry roast the peanuts in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium-low heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring frequently, until they are fragrant and lightly browned. Ensure they do not burn.
2Transfer the roasted peanuts to a plate and allow them to cool completely. Once cool, rub them between your palms or in a clean kitchen towel to remove the skins. Discard the skins.
3In a food processor or mixer grinder, pulse the skinned peanuts until they form a coarse powder. Be careful not to over-process, as it can turn into a paste due to oil release.
