1If using frozen edamame in pods, thaw them completely. If using fresh edamame in pods, wash them thoroughly under cold water.
2Using kitchen shears or a small knife, snip off both ends of each edamame pod. This allows the seasonings to penetrate the pods more effectively.
3In a small bowl, combine the koikuchi soy sauce, mirin, finely minced garlic, and sesame oil. Whisk well to create the sauce.
