1Carefully clean the Nopalitos by scraping off any thorns and eyes, then rinse thoroughly. Dice the Nopalitos into small cubes.
2Place the diced Nopalitos in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until tender and the mucilage (slime) has mostly dissipated. Drain the Nopalitos well and rinse with cold water to remove any remaining sliminess. Set aside.
3In a large skillet, heat the Vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the White onion and Serrano pepper, sautéing until the White onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
