1Soak the Hojas de maíz in hot water for at least 30 minutes until they are pliable. Drain and set aside.
2In a small saucepan, combine the Piloncillo and 150 grams of Agua. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the Piloncillo is completely dissolved. Let the Piloncillo syrup cool to room temperature.
3In a large bowl, cream the Manteca de cerdo with an electric mixer until it is light and fluffy, about 5-7 minutes.
