1Rinse the Toor dal thoroughly and cook it in a pressure cooker with 600 grams of water and half of the Turmeric powder until very soft, about 3-4 whistles. Mash the cooked Toor dal until smooth.
2Heat the Ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan or pot over medium heat.
3Add the Mustard seeds to the hot Ghee and let them splutter. Then add the Cumin seeds and allow them to crackle.
