1Dry roast 30g Byadgi chili, 20g coriander seeds, 10g cumin seeds, 20g coconut, 5g peppercorns, 5g poppy seeds, and 5g sesame seeds until fragrant.
2Blend the roasted spices into a smooth paste with a little water and set aside.
3Heat 50g ghee in a heavy pot and sizzle 2g bay leaf, 3g cloves, 5g cardamom, 5g cinnamon, 2g star anise, and 2g stone flower.
