1Rinse 10 grams of badam pisin thoroughly under running water. Place the rinsed badam pisin in a bowl and add 500 grams of water. Cover and let it soak overnight or for at least 8 hours until it swells into a soft, jelly-like consistency.
2In a heavy-bottomed pan, combine 1000 grams of full-fat milk and 50 grams of khoya. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.
3Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer the full-fat milk and khoya mixture, stirring frequently, until it reduces to about half its original volume and thickens slightly. This process will take approximately 25 minutes.
