1Score the block of konnyaku deeply on one side in a crosshatch pattern, then flip and score the other side with parallel lines.
2Cut the scored konnyaku into bite-sized rectangles or triangles, approximately 3cm in size.
3Bring a pot of water to a boil, add the cut konnyaku, and boil for 2-3 minutes to remove any raw odor. Drain well and set aside.
