1Wash the Asparagus thoroughly and snap off the tough, woody ends. You can find the natural breaking point by gently bending each spear.
2Prepare a steamer basket over a pot of simmering water. Ensure the water does not touch the bottom of the basket.
3Place the Asparagus spears in the steamer basket, cover, and steam for 4 to 7 minutes, or until the Asparagus is tender-crisp and bright green. Do not overcook.
