1Rinse the red beans thoroughly and soak them in 200g of water for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
2Drain the soaking water from the red beans. Place the red beans in a pot with 300g of fresh water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes until tender but still slightly firm. Drain the cooking water and set the red beans aside.
3Rinse the glutinous rice thoroughly and soak it in cold water for 1 hour. Drain well.
