Gently wash the Duck eggs under running water to remove any dirt or debris. Pat them completely dry with a clean cloth.

In a large pot, combine the Water, Coarse sea salt, Star anise, and Sichuan peppercorn. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, stirring occasionally until the Coarse sea salt is fully dissolved.

Reduce the heat and let the brine simmer for 5 minutes to allow the flavors of the Star anise and Sichuan peppercorn to infuse. Remove the pot from heat and let the brine cool completely to room temperature.
