Rinse the sweet apricot kernels thoroughly and then soak them in 300 grams of water for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.

Drain the soaked sweet apricot kernels and transfer them to a blender. Add 400 grams of fresh water and blend until a very smooth, milky liquid is formed.

Strain the blended sweet apricot kernel mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean saucepan, pressing firmly to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
