1In a small bowl, combine the Active dry yeast with the Warm milk and a pinch of the Granulated sugar (from the dough portion). Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
2In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the All-purpose flour, Glutinous rice flour, remaining Granulated sugar (for dough), Baking powder, and Salt.
3Pour the yeast mixture and the Egg into the dry ingredients. Mix with a spoon or spatula until a shaggy dough forms. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for 60-90 minutes, or until doubled in size.
