1Lightly crush the fresh ginger and green cardamom pods using a mortar and pestle or the back of a knife to release their aromas.
2In a saucepan, combine the water, crushed fresh ginger, crushed green cardamom pods, and fresh mint leaves. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
3Once boiling, add the black tea leaves to the saucepan. Reduce the heat to medium and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes, allowing the tea and spices to infuse.
