Cut the Paneer into 2.5 cm (1 inch) cubes and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the Besan, Ginger-garlic paste, Green chili, Coriander powder, Cumin powder, Turmeric powder, Red chili powder, Garam masala, Asafoetida, Salt, Ajwain, and Baking soda.

Gradually add Water to the dry ingredients, whisking continuously to form a smooth, thick batter without any lumps. The batter should be thick enough to coat the Paneer cubes evenly.
