1Wash 200g Masoor Dal thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear. Soak the Masoor Dal in 400g of fresh water for 20 minutes.
2Drain the soaked Masoor Dal. In a pressure cooker, combine the drained Masoor Dal with 600g fresh Water, 3g Turmeric, and 4g Salt.
3Cook under high pressure for 2 whistles, then reduce heat to low and cook for another 5 minutes. Allow the pressure to release naturally before opening the cooker.
